An introductory module for the teachers/educators, focusing on principles, methods, techniques and recommendations that they are encouraged to follow when training adults with low typical skills who haven’t completed the secondary education and/or are attending school at an older age, and especially low-skilled/low-qualified adults in search of a job, who want to take advantage of the opportunities offered by digital media and social networks. In this module, learning characteristics of adults, methods, techniques and approaches to be used in adult education, time, conflict and stress management and mentoring skills are explained.

This module has been designed for educators to equip their learners with the skills to create basic and more advanced digital content and also to communicate in the digital world, using a wide range of communication tools.
With this module, efforts will be made to provide people with basic digital skills and competencies. The basic level focuses on different device structures, parts and features of devices, concepts of the file and folder, use of the internet for its purpose, managing email accounts, and teaching word processors programs.
The basic level prepared for educators will be a guide on how educators will transfer knowledge. With this basic level, educators will learn how they should teach relevant skills to learners.
Throughout the module, trainers; will apply the methods of lecture, question and answer, learning by doing and experiencing in learning processes. In addition, individual learning methods and techniques that teach by supporting individuals to think, research, solve problems and put them into practice using the knowledge and skills they have acquired will be encouraged.

This module has been designed for educators to equip their students with the skills to stay safe online and be responsible digital citizens. This module will give the necessary advice and steps for educators and take this training to its objective of teaching: Early School Leavers.
The basic level will be focused on protecting devices, protecting personal data and privacy as well as protecting personal health and well-being and the environment. The medium/advanced level will be centering its attention on digital footprint in the context of professional ethics, legal regulations on information security and copyright (music, film, pictures, text, software), actions to be taken in case of violation of digital ethics and/or unauthorized sharing and rights violation.

This module has been designed for educators to equip their students with
the skills to effectively locate, identify, retrieve, process and use
digital information. In other words, being able to know where and how to
find necessary information (e.g. job ads), and learn how to evaluate
it. The basic level focuses on accessing information online, on the
effective use of search engines and basic strategies for locating
reliable sources. The medium/advanced level emphasizes on searching jobs
online, making optimal use of job search engines and portals and tips
for choosing and applying to the most suitable for each candidate job
advertisement.

This module has been designed for educators to equip their students with the skills to make effective use of various social media platforms, as well as create a professional CV, and build a strong both off-and on-line identity for job search purposes.
The basic level includes creating social media accounts, communicating and sharing content by following the ethical rules, knowing about security settings, learning how to update professional information and searching for a job using social media.
The medium/advanced level includes creating an attractive Social Media profile that can be used for job-seeking purposes, presenting oneself in an appropriate manner and learning about online Etiquette rules.

The overall objective of the ALTER Erasmus+ project (https://alterproject.eu) is to maximise the impact and contribution of alternative education or other equivalent institutions for adult education in Turkey, Austria, Bulgaria, Greece and Spain. Taking into consideration each national context regarding the completion of secondary education by adults who have dropped out of school, ALTER aims to increase the quality of courses provided and also facilitate adults who haven’t completed the secondary education to access the labour market through media literacy competences and digital skills.
The ALTER’s e-learning platform targets educators in alternative educational institutions for adults who haven’t completed secondary education, practitioners and volunteer trainers, including teachers, language tutors, volunteers working with migrants and refugees, as well as students and researchers in related fields and other stakeholders and professionals active in adult education (e.g.: employment agencies, VET providers, recruiters, employers’ associations).
In some cases, however, the e-learning platform can be helpful even to adults who haven’t completed the secondary education and wish to enhance, on their own, their digital skills.
This assessment form aims to evaluate the functionality & usability, the content quality and the content effectiveness of the ALTER’s e-learning platform, and its modules developed by the consortium of the project.
